Marilyn Barker, MD FAAP






Dr. Marilyn Barker graduated magna cum laude from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. She received an MD degree from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo. Dr. Barker completed a fellowship in Developmental Disabilities sponsored by the NYS office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and the Robert Warner Rehabilitation Center of the Children's Hospital of Buffalo. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her work experience has included providing pediatric care to medically underserved areas while serving in the United States National Health Service Corps. She has also worked with "special needs" children at Our Lady of Victory Infant Home, NYS School for the Blind and the WNY Children's Psychiatric Center. She holds a teaching position as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine. Dr. Barker is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Buffalo Pediatric Society and the Erie County Medical Society. She is a former board member of the North American Riding for the Handicapped. She also enjoys cooking (Pierogi is her specialty), gardening, ballet, opera, equestrian activities and travel.


Anju Gupta, MD






Dr Anju Gupta completed her residency at Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC in 2004.  She subsequently worked at Crittenden Hospital in Arkansas where she managed the high-risk nursery and worked at the children's clinic.  She moved to Upstate New York in 2008 and worked in the NICU at Strong Memorial Hospital as a neonatal hospitalist for part of 2008.  In the fall of 2008, she worked at St. Luke’s hospital and Marion Pediatrics in Fall River, Massachusetts.  Since 2009, she has worked at East Aurora Pediatrics in East Aurora, NY.  She is Board Certified in Pediatrics, and she is an examiner for the American Board of Pediatrics.  She has published articles in Pediatrics in Review, an international peer reviewed journal.  She is a recipient of the 2017 AAP CME/CPD award, AMA physician recognition award. She was selected as a top pediatrician in East Aurora, by the International Association of Pediatrics. She has been ranked among the top 100 doctors in America several times. She is an adjunct clinical faculty member at Jacobs School of Medicine in Buffalo, NY and she regularly teaches medical students.  She has privileges at Oishei Children's Hospital of Buffalo, South Buffalo Mercy Hospital, Sisters of Charity Hospital.  She brings a spirit of dedication, compassion, and an effusive, jovial, and uplifting spirit to each and every one of her patient encounters. Fun loving person who enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband.


Deborah Sleeper, MA, PA-C





After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Geneseo, Debbie earned a Masters degree in exercise physiology from Ball State University and a degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Daemen College. Debbie’s professional career includes coordination of the Cardiac Stress lab and Cardiac Rehabilitation Department at Buffalo’s Sister’s Hospital and 20 years practicing family and pediatric medicine. Debbie is registered as a Physician Assistant in the state of Illinois and New York and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Association of Family Practice Physician Assistants and the Society for Physician Assistants in Pediatrics. When outside the clinic, Debbie enjoys running and spending time with her husband and two grown children.


Nurse Practitioners

Ellen Hayes, RN, PNP, IBCLC






Ellen Hayes graduated with a BSN from Alfred University and received her MS in Child Health & Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Ellen is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She is a member of National Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Associates. She is involved in the community as a Lactation Consultant and member of NAPNAP. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, biking, hiking, skiing and cross-country skiing.
